Carbon Footprint

PS has been very conscious about environment protection and ecology. All the buildings presently under construction or fully constructed are in accordance with the suggestions made by the consultants doing environment impact assessment. Even in the completed buildings eco-friendly practices like rainwater harvesting, solid waste management, greening of the open spaces, planting of trees etc. are practiced to whatever extent possible.   

PS has recently completed its first Green Telecommunication Park which has been rated as the “Green Building of Gold status”. PS is also in the process of making first green residential building in the city of Kolkata and has desire to make all its future projects ‘GREEN’.  

“How Green is your Housing Complex”

To create awareness about environment protection amongst the residents of housing complexes and the house building industry, this booklet was released by His Excellency the Governor of West Bengal on World Environment Day. 10000 copies of this booklet have been distributed to the public. It was also distributed during the tree plantation drive organized on the World Environment Day by PS Group along with ‘Art of Living Foundation.’

ECO WUD 

The Chairman of PS Group was honoured with ‘Plasticon 2000’ award by the Ministry of Petroleum for developing a wood substitute “Ecowud” out of municipal solid waste. 

The eco friendly feature of Eco Wud is as follows.

Urban solid waste is a major menace to Environment Conservation, particularly the disposal of commingled plastic waste which cannot be recycled through the traditional method of recycling. 

PS developed a superior alternative to wood from the municipal solid waste through the process of compression moulding.

The product has not only saved thousands of acres of forest but has also helped prevent, the foodgrains in the godowns of Food Corporation of India, from rotting. It is a great building product for exterior use, particularly forlandscaping. The development of ECO-WUD was widely acclaimed and covered by both national and international media.
